1/1/10 11:45 amMy new favorite song:
See You On The Other Side Ozzy Osbourne Voices, A thousand, thousand voices. Whispering, The time has passed for choices. Golden days are passing over, yea. I can't seem to see you baby, Although my eyes are open wide But I know I'll see you once more When I see you, I'll see you on the other side Yes I'll see you, I'll see you on the other side Leaving, I hate to see you cry. Grieving, I hate to say good-bye Dust and ash forever, yeah Though I know we must be parted As sure as stars are in the sky. I'm gonna see when it comes to glory. And I'll see you, I'll see you on the other side. Yes I'll see you, I'll see you on the other side Never thought I'd feel like this, Strange to be alone, yeah But we'll be together, Carved in stone, Carved in stone, Carved in stone. Hold me, Hold me tight I'm falling. Far away, Distant voices calling I'm so cold, I need you darling, yeah I was down, but now I'm flying. Straight across the great divide. I know you're crying, but I'll stop you crying. When I see you, I see you on the other side. Yes, I'll see you, see you on the other side. I'm gonna see you, see you on the other side God knows I'll see you, see you on the other side, yeah I'll see you, see you on the other side I'm gonna see you, see you on the other side. God knows I'll see you, see you on the other side I wanna see you, yeah yeah yeah, see you on the other side God knows I'll see you, see you on the other side I'm gonna see you, see you on the other side |
12/31/09 08:13 pmI feel so fucking good, for the first time in over a year. I'm drunk right now, but I felt good before I got drunk. Life can be alright now. <3

12/18/09 08:41 amWhat is the point of being alive anyway? What sense does it make? Is it just a ride? Something for the soul's amusement and a break from the drudgery of eternity? And it's kind of like gambling at that, because you never know if you're going to like the hand you're dealt. It's interesting to think about. Jude once told me he thought of life as being like a carnival. But... isn't that a game in and of itself?
If you think about it, we are the supermen. Like the David Bowie song. "Strange games they would play then/ No death for the perfect men/ Life rolls into one for them/ So softly, a supergod dies." It's like that, isn't it? We just keep coming back, because life is a strange game. Such a very strange game. Many of us have asked questions of existence time and time again. Some of us have accepted certain things as truth, while others spend their lives wondering and perhaps even searching for truth, while some don't care one way or the other, and others fall into catagories I've not mentioned or am even able to fathom at present. I'm curious to know how everyone thinks, and your views about life and death and what may or may not lay beyond. So, how do you see things? |

11/12/09 07:22 am - Writer's Block: If these walls could talkIf I could afford it, yes. If I found it to be haunted, myself, I'd still live there unless the spirit(s) bothered me and/or wanted me out. But seriously, a pre-haunted home of my dreams? How can I say no to that? |
11/11/09 07:19 amCan't reach out to anybody. Either no one gets it, or no one cares. Fuck it all. I'm better off on my own anyway.

10/9/09 06:09 am - Writer's Block: The one that got awayIf they left, they're obviously not "the one". And while I do believe in the concept of a "one", I also believe people don't always find them. Neil and Pegi are blessed. (This doesn't mean I believe in a god. God isn't the only force that can give blessings.) |

10/5/09 02:28 pmOne song... and as much as I love "Heart of Gold", if I'd just had that one song to go on, I may never have looked further into him. That's no fault of the song. I somehow just never thought to look further until I found him on my own. I grew up with that one song and the name, Neil Young, not ever realizing...
It had never occurred to me that he would have written more, sang more, and have been so versatile in music, voice and lyrics. It never would've occurred to me that he could be so perfect. It never would have occurred to me... that the man who sang "Heart of Gold" could be so handsome. I don't know why. It's a beautiful song, but I didn't understand it. I'd taken it for granted. That makes me think it's a very good thing that I didn't know more of his songs before; that I only knew that one. It gives me a connection to him in my past without making him feel common place. And I don't think I ever will take him for granted again. I don't think I can; I don't think it's possible, having truly discovered him. And I don't know why I'm obsessed with him now. I don't know why my heart beats his name. I don't know what happened. I don't know why it's been going for over two years. If the songs had been played all through my childhood, I don't know if they'd mean as much as they do now. If I hadn't found him on my own, I don't know that the connection would be as strong. Somehow, he showed up when I needed him most, and he's been here ever since. I don't know how I actually was able to go see him. I'd never gone to see any of my musical loves before. Neil was the first... and I busted my ass to get there, and Neil made it worth every second. I don't know how long I'll be so into him. That morbid thought is almost too depressing to think. Maybe my extreme interest in him and his music won't ever go away. That would be nice. I'd hate to think the same thing that happened with Marilyn would ever happen with Neil. Neil's too special. It's not that Marilyn isn't, it's just that... Neil is... |

9/29/09 10:07 amWhat is so fucking great about me that everyone I get close to ends up copying me?! Seriously, it just keeps happening. I'm so fucking sick of it! It's one thing to copy rockstars and cartoons and the like, but I'm no rockstar, and I'm at least fairly certain I'm not a cartoon. I am, however, pissed the fuck off.
